My birthday is this week! Other than the fact that it's my birthday month, October is my favorite month of the year because it's one of two (the other being November) months where the color orange is a predominant color in most default color palettes for the month.
So when my choir went to a pumpkin patch last week, I was convinced that I had to go. I had never been to a pumpkin patch or a corn maze before, so I figured why not, let's go! (I originally didn't intend to go).
Kimono: Some store in Downtown LA // Purple Velvet Crop Top: Urban Outfitters // Black Skater Skirt: Cotton On // Gray Booties: Macy's // Gray Cross-Body Bag: Forever 21
Because I love and watch
America's Next Top Model way too much, we tried doing some jumping shots in similar fashion to the way they do it for photoshoots. It felt a little awkward at first but I had so much fun with it! My face needs some work on some of the photos, however. Which one is your favorite?
This photo above ^ would've been perfect in my opinion, if it weren't for the creepy girl photobombing in the background! Doesn't she look scary?
On the photos below, there was also a corn maze so I took a few photos there myself.
This picture above is one of my favorites, but it looks like I have a slight stank face. Sad day.
By the way, shoutout to my friend Kaciny for the photos! She is not a photographer at all by any means, but she did pretty great. And if you want to keep following up on all my interesting adventures, follow me on Instagram for some more, quality photos!
Have you ever been to a pumpkin patch before? What is your favorite part about fall?
Ok you look so cute!! I definitely need to plan a pumpkin patch/.corn maze photoshoot.
ReplyDeleteGlad there's someone else out there that has as much fun with shooting as anything else!

Great pictures! You definitely are very cute :)
ReplyDeletecute!
ReplyDeleteAh you are so cute! I'm considering trying the whole fall velvet thing since it seems to be having a moment, but I normally hate velvet so much (a longstanding relationship I've had with it after a mountain of velvet dresses in my childhood) so it's hard to figure out how to do it right. :/
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh that photo with the creepy girl in the background I actually laughed out loud hahaha!! But these are adorable. :-) Your pumpkin patches out in CA look so different then ones on the East Coast!

Haha thank you so much! When you get the chance, pumpkin patch/corn maze shoots are fun and also just a really nice backdrop! I would love to see if you ever do get to do that!
ReplyDeleteAww thank you so much! :]
ReplyDeleteThank you! It is actually my roommate's, haha.
ReplyDeleteThanks Harper! As for the velvet, I say start trying it in small doses. I have this crop top that I'm wearing in these photos, but I also have a velvet headband at home. I think starting with smaller things like that would be a great way to try out the trend and ease it into your wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it freaky?! I was so concerned when I saw it! But thank you so much, haha :] How do pumpkin patches on the East Coast look differently?
